Maker Day is for ages 13 and up to create, learn and discover through hands-on makerspace activities to help you learn how to use the equipment and tools in MetaSpace 511. Maker Day projects will vary and are a great way to learn something new and create a fun project in the process!
We welcome artist Leslie Perrino as our guest instructor for the June 17th, Introduction to Enameling class.
Maker Day: Glass on Metal - an Introduction to Enameling Class. This class introduces you to Enameling, the beautiful time-honored craft of fusing glass to metal. We will use a small kiln to fuse colorful glass powders to a copper shape, then learn ways to adorn it using stencils, rubber stamps, lumps, glass strings, etc. The result may be made into a magnet, a necklace, or a keepsake.
No experience is necessary; come and learn the basics of enameling and create a fun project!
This is a registration-required program. Space is limited.
Please contact our Makerspace Lead Innovator Nancy for additional training options: metaspace511@mukwonagolibrary.org or call 262-363-6411 ext. 4111
