Do you love to read? Do you love the library? Do you self-describe as a bookworm?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions then you need to check out our Adult Bookworm Book Club! In this new book club at the Mukwonago Library, you'll join librarians Emily and Lauryn to discuss new books chosen by you, the members! Books will be fiction and can be from any genre.
For our first book club meeting, on September 11, we will be reading Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney. The book is available on Hoopla, Libby, or physically at the library. Ask for the book at the circulation desk.
Each month members will discuss the previous months books over snacks and refreshments and close the meeting by picking the book for the following month. The next months pick will be decided in the following way: each member will write down a book they would like to read and discuss onto a small slip of paper. The paper will then be folded and put into a fishbowl. The bowl with all of the book suggestions will then me mixed up. At that point, each member will take a turn taking books out of the fishbowl and saying aloud “we will not be reading title of book.” Once only two books remain, book club members will look up the description of the two books and vote on which they’d like to be the next book club pick!
Registration is recommended but not required. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
See you there!
