Program Description

Event Details

This is an introductory 3D printing class; no experience is required! We will teach you about 3D printing and how to use the 3D printers in the library makerspace, MetaSpace 511. We will be using our FlashForge Finder and FlashForge Creator Pro 3D printers for the class, which are capable of printing everything from fun figurines, replacement parts, to prototypes for design and engineering!

In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics of 3D printing, what to look for in designs to 3D print, how to prepare and slice a .stl file, how to load and unload PLA filament, and you will make a 3D print this evening! We look forward to helping you create your 3D prints!

This class is open to adults 18 and over. Any adult can take this class, but to have additional items 3D printed at the library, you will need to have a valid CAFE library card from the Bridges Library System and sign the User Agreement for MetaSpace 511.
