Program Description

Event Details

This is an introductory laser machine engraving and cutting class; no experience is required!  You will learn about the Library's Epilog Mini 18 laser machine and how to make precision cuts and engravings to decorate all kinds of materials like wood, leather, glass, marble, acrylic, and more in the library makerspace, MetaSpace 511.

In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics of laser engraving and cutting, what to look for in designs to use with the laser machine, preparing files, how to operate the laser machine, and you will make a laser engraved and cut item to take home this evening! We look forward to helping you create with the laser machine!

This class is open to adults 18 and over. Any adult can take this class, but to use the laser machine at other times at the library, you will need to have a valid CAFE library card from the Bridges Library System and sign the User Agreement for MetaSpace 511.
