Program Description

Event Details

The STEAM Design Lab is a space to build, invent, create, and discover through hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.

The October STEAM Design Lab is: Learn How to Create a 3D Print with Tinkercad. In this class you will learn how to create a 3D model in a simple 3D modeling software called Tinkercad. You will then learn how to print your model on a 3D printer in MetaSpace 511.

STEAM Design Lab activities vary each month and depending on when you come, you might program a robot, design your own glowing circuits, build a marble maze or make an ornament. The STEAM Design Lab is a great place to try out tools in the makerspace, learn something new, and create a fun project in the process.

Open to children in 3rd to 6th grade. This is a registration-required program. Space is limited.
